The Big Three O

I spent most of my twenties depressed and/or drunk. The years were just this long slow motion walk through a dark corridor. I kept my eyes on the imaginary light at the end. On January 15th 2004 I went from slow motion to rollercoaster within a split second. Mike changed everything about my life and I love him for it. The past two years flew by, I never had time to catch my breath. Last night it all slowed down like an MTV moment. The metamorphosis completed. I’m looking around and I see everything. I’m looking back and I understand. And feels damn good.
